What is the survey for?

... also a problem for those on low incomes, or with mental and physical disabilities who need to access health care, but lack affordable travel options.

High traffic volumes around the Hospital are causing localised congestion which is putting pressure on parking facilities and negatively impacting our neighbours on surrounding streets.

We want to change all of this, and the 'Ways To Go' Haerenga Pai travel survey will help us get there.

Child Development Centre

Child Development Centre is in a building at 222 Pembroke Street, across the road from Waikato Hospital's Emergency Department.  It shares the building with the Artifical Limb Centre.

There are a very small number of parking spaces close to the centre, but these are for people with disabilities (please advise us in advance of your appointment so we can try to ensure a park if available). The Pembroke Street Carpark Building is just up the road from the centre, on the same side.  Otherwise...

Regional Renal Centre

Regional Renal Centre is located in a stand-alone building on Ryburn Lane, one of the internal roads on the Waiora Waikato Hospital Campus, in Hamilton. There is patient-only parking directly outside.

Rheumatology Clinic

Rheumatology Clinic is located in a stand-alone building on Ryburn Lane, one of the internal roads on the Waiora Waikato Hospital Campus, in Hamilton. There is patient-only parking directly outside.

Sexual Health Clinic

Waikato Sexual Health Clinic is located in a house on Ohaupo Road, Hamilton. There is limited parking outside, and it is near to several bus routes.

Thames Hospital

It serves the Thames, Coromandel Peninsula, Hauraki and Paeroa areas. Thames Hospital has a 24 hour emergency department, and covers the usual range of general surgery and general medicine.  Thames Hospital is part of the Waikato District Health Board.

Emergency Department at Waikato Hospital

... Hospital Emergency Department (ED) is clearly signposted in red on all our hospital signage, external and internal.  The entrance is off the southern end of Pembroke Street. There is a drop-off area directly outside the ED entrance and limited short-term parking. Emergency Department is open for emergency and urgent serious medical issues 24/7.
