Clinic appointments and planned surgeryAcute and trauma procedures will continue to be delivered as well as time critical procedures. If you had a surgery date or a clinic appointment that was postponed you will have been contacted to inform you of this. Video appointment

Video appointments are a way to deliver healthcare without requiring a patient to travel to hospital.

These involve a remote video call between a Waikato DHB specialist and patient who are in different locations. The platform we use is called Microsoft Teams which is similar to Skype or Zoom.

Video appointments come under the umbrella term of 'Telehealth' which can also include consults by phone.

It is important that you are well prepared before coming to a clinic appointment.

Please refer to the appointment letter you have received setting out the date and time you should arrive, and any other instructions.
Read the instructions carefully.
Note anything you need to do or bring with you.
You are welcome to bring a support person to the clinic.
