Information Services (IS)
The Information Services (IS) Department supports Waikato District
Health Board in achieving its goal of providing high quality health care
services to the people of the Waikato region.
It does this by
supplying applications, technologies and support services that assist
staff in providing patient care, planning, research and education.
IS provides a range of vital services to Waikato DHB including a service desk and a project management office.
The
department is responsible for delivery of information systems that
support key DHB functions and delivered a diverse portfolio of
innovative projects over the last few years.
IS supports
approximately 6000 user accounts and 3100 desktops/laptops deployed at
multiple sites, including all its hospitals at Taumarunui, Te Kuiti,
Tokoroa, Hamilton and Thames and district bases.
