Future FocusFuture Focus provides data and information related to identified health priority areas and priority population groups in Waikato DHB. We redeveloped and renamed the original 'Population Health Planning Resource 2001-2012' as Future Focus.You can access available sections below. The remaining unlinked sections are new additions due for completion soon. The introduction provides a brief overview for all sections within Future Focus and is a useful first point of reference. These sections are heavily based on local data collected from the New Zealand Census. The last census was held in 2006. The census planned for 2011 was not held due to the Christchurch earthquake on 22 February 2011. At that time the 2011 Census could not have been successfully completed given the national state of emergency and the probable impact on census results. The next New Zealand Census of Population and Dwellings will be held on Tuesday, 5 March 2013. Whilst Statistics New Zealand has released some interim data, this would not be sufficient to review Future Focus with. Consequently, the planned revisions of these sections will be delayed until Census data becomes available. The planned revisions will now occur in the first half of 2014.
