 Meals on Wheels service
 This service is designed to provide a freshly cooked hot dinner meal at midday for those that find it difficult to prepare their own meal. The meals are delivered hot by willing and efficient Red Cross volunteers right to your door each day, Monday to Friday, and frozen meals are available for weekends and public holidays. You can register for the service on a temporary basis, e.g. while recovering from injury or surgery, or long term due to age or disability. If you live within the Hamilton boundary and are able to pay for your meals, you can register for the service – you do not need a referral. The minimum number of meals is three per week for at least four weeks. MealsThe meals consist of a hot main dish served with seasonal vegetables followed by a delicious dessert – all for $7.10 GST inclusive. The price of meals on wheels will be increasing to $7.50 with effect from 9 November 2009. You may choose from a selective menu which is sent to you each fortnight.
