Te Puna Oranga (Maori Health service) comprises of three units that provide three core functions which form the basis for Waikato DHB Maori health. - Maori Health Strategy and Development
To develop district wide strategies and initiatives that create structural change across the health sector to address inequalities and health disparities for Māori relative to non-Māori
- Maori Health Change Management Unit
To develop organisational culture change across Health Waikato to address health disparities for Maori and develop culturally responsive services
- Maori Health Service Delivery
Delivery of cultural support and advocacy for Maori patients and their whanau across targeted Health Waikato Service areas.
