How do I contact you?

  • Phone: (07) 839 8732 (appointments)
  • Office hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 4. 30 pm. Clinics are held at differing times  - please ring for an appointment time.

How do I find you?

Can I come along now?

  • We have an appointment system and can usually see you within 1-2 days. However, if you think your problem is urgent, tell the receptionist what is worrying you. They will pass your call onto a nurse who will talk with you about the problem and help decide how quickly you need to be seen. If you are coming for an urgent appointment, please don’t go to the loo for two hours before your appointment in case we need a urine sample.

What happens at the clinic?

  • A doctor or nurse talks with you to find out what is worrying you and will ask questions about your general health & your sexual health. Next, there’s a physical examination and some tests; the tests may involve swabs, urine and blood tests. The examination doesn’t hurt and means you will know what the problem is, or be reassured that all is fine.

Sometimes treatment is given immediately. Most test results are available within a few days and we will ask you to ring us for your results. You may need to come back for treatment, if needed.

Is it confidential?

  • Yes. If you are concerned about confidentiality, talk with our staff who can answer your specific concerns. Otherwise, use a false name but please, please use your real birth date. This is important when you ring for your results and can’t remember the name you gave us!

So, do I need to come along?

  • Yes, if you are worried, just want a check-up, or have a concern such as: discharge from vagina or penis, pain when passing urine, pain in lower stomach or genitals, lumps or swelling in genital area, sores, ulcers, itching, rashes... basically, anything to do with sex!
