Dietitians

What we offer

Community dietitians provide dietary advise to referred clients and their carers who require specialist dietetic interventions in either district hospitals, outpatients clinics or in their own homes.

The dietitian will accept referrals for conditions where dietetic practice will provide positive health outcomes:

This may include:
  • disorders of the mouth and throat, oesophagus, stomach or duodenum/colon
  • malabsorption conditions
  • diabetes mellitus
  • cardiovascular disease
  • neuro-degenerative disorders
  • food allergy and intolerance
  • cancer
  • specialist feeding regimes eg enteral feeding
  • post-surgical clients e.g. wound healing
  • respiratory problems e.g. CORD.

8am - 4.30pm Monday - Friday (excluding public holidays)

Partners in care

Community health dietitians work with clients to help establish goals for dietary treatment and education and provide support to develop and follow dietary plans
