How do I apply for a job with Waikato DHB?Applications are available online. Simply view the position you are interested in and at the end of the information you will find a link to Waikato DHB’s on-line application form. A printable application form is also available in the event you experience difficulties with the on-line form. Please let us know if there are problems with the on-line application form, as we want your experience to be as smooth as possible.
It is helpful if you have a curriculum vitae (resumé) prepared which contains relevant work experience, educational information and personal achievements. In order to employ people who can contribute to the quality of services the Waikato DHB provides. We may request evidence of your skills and experience.
The on-line form contains a series of pre-screening questions. The questions marked with a " * " are necessary to complete. Near the end of the form we will ask if you wish to attach a CV. If your answer is ‘yes’, then an automatic email will be sent to the email address you provided on your application once you click on the submit button. Please review the information in that email, reply to sender by attaching your CV. You will not receive another acknowledgement at this stage in the process.
Although we strive to choose candidates for interview as quickly as possible, sometimes the process may take a couple of weeks. If you have not received a response from the Recruitment Centre as to the status of your application within two weeks of the closing date, you are welcome to contact our office.
Is it possible to apply for a multiple position at the same time?Yes, you may apply for any position you feel you qualified for. You will need to complete a separate application for each of the positions as your details will be forwarded to the hiring manager which in most cases are located in separate departments.
After I have emailed you my application, should I send you a hard copy of my resumé?No. Our online application process is highly effective, therefore you do not have to send us a hard copy of your resume, unless we ask you to. However, if you are concerned that your application has not reached us, contact the Recruitment Centre.
How would I know the progress of my online/offline application?You will be sent notification by email or mail as to the outcome of the shortlisting process. If you are selected for interview, a coordinator from the Recruitment Centre or human resource personnel will contact you to arrange the time and place.
