Accident near Thames - patient updatesA 41-year-old woman from Vanuatu is under assessment in Waikato Hospital's emergency department following the accident near Ngatea south of Thames earlier today.Four other patients are still in Thames Hospital with one expected to be transferred to Waikato Hospital. A van with five people on board, rolled while overtaking. One occupant died at the scene, another two with serious injuries were taken to Thames Hospital initially then flown by Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance to Waikato. The group in the van were from Vanuatu. |
