The hospital's inpatient ward reopened today although there is still one patient with diarrhoea who remains in isolation. Five staff remain sick and can return when they are symptom free for 48 hours.

A terminal clean will be done at the 21-bed hospital. This involves removing everything portable from the rooms, such as linen and curtains - for washing - and medical equipment for sterilising; as well as cleaning every surface, including mattresses, cupboards and windows.

Visitors with any illnesses are asked to still stay away from the hospital and to ring their GP or after hours the number is (07) 886 6111.
