Patient update - Taupo fatal

An 11-year-old girl is under assessment in Waikato Hospital's emergency department following today's fatal crash on SH1 north of Taupo.

She arrived about 20 minutes ago.

We only received one patient from the accident.

St John responds to serious collision

Media Release, Friday 24 April

St John is attending a head-on collision between two motor vehicles on State Highway 1 north of Taupo.

"St John responded with two Taupo ambulances, which were on the scene in 12 minutes followed by an Advanced Paramedic in a car," said St John District Operations Manager Jeremy Gooders.

Two seriously injured patients will be transported to Waikato Hospital.
