Success on Saturday - Martin Kepa operation

The happy operation team at the end of the eight hour operation on Martin Kepa, a patient from Papua New Guinea. The specialists, surgeons, anaethetists, nurses, attendants and other support staff donated their time and skills to perform the operation to remove the vascular malformation from Martin Kepa's face. Martin is doing really well and recovering nicely. He keeps touching his face and can't quite believe it's gone!
The surgery on Saturday was a success.

The teamwork on Saturday was fantastic - there were around 30 people that contributed to the seamless running of the case.

Martin is doing well and recovering quickly from the eight hour operation. The surgeons are very pleased with his progress.

The operation was successfully completed at around 4pm today (Saturday) and the surgical team were very pleased with how it went. Further updates will be posted as they come to hand.
