Thames Hospital open day a success![]() More than 450 people came from all over the Thames-Coromandel region last Friday to take up the chance of being the first to see inside the brand new Thames Clinical Centre. Everyone was invited to attend between 2-6pm and the day started off as it would continue with at least 30 people waiting to get inside at 2pm. They were followed closely by more groups of people who continued to arrive and have a look through until 6pm. A huge number of local Thames residents turned up on the day and others came from as far as Manaia, Coromandel, Ngatea and Tairua. Here’s a few of the comments that could be heard as everyone took a tour through the new facilities:“A great improvement and asset to the hospital campus. Trust it works out as good as the care I’ve been given here.” “Great” “Brilliant” “Fabulous” “Nice” “Wonderful” “Worth the wait!! Fantastic!” “A wonderful resource for the community, congratulations!” “Wonderful looking facilities, what a change since 1960!” “Looks amazing” “Love the colour scheme, very welcoming and the design of the hospital and curtains” “Very impressive, great layout and facilities.” “Proud to be near such a great asset.” The Thames Clinical Centre is set to open its doors to receive patients on Thursday 30 October.
