Is variety what you are looking for?  Waikato Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 15 bed tertiary level training facility servicing Waikato Hospital and the greater Midland region.  Our ICU workforce provides adult general ICU, adult cardiac surgery and short term paediatric ICU services for approximately 1300 admissions per year. 

As the Midland region is significant in size, the Waikato Hospital also provides a regional retrieval service for approximately 300 critically ill patients per year, which is staffed by our nursing team.

You need

• a registered nurse qualification with a minimum of 5 years ICU experience 
• high standard of clinical practice 
  
• a well developed technical understanding for equipment and treatment modality management.
• demonstrated leadership skills with highly developed communication skills
