Radiation Therapist Position No. 51003-44467 We currently have vacancies for two full time Radiation Therapists in the Waikato Regional Cancer Centre. The function of the Regional Cancer Centre is to assess and treat patients suffering from a malignant disease. This unit serves a population of 550,000, has a staff of approximately 120 and comprises an oncology outpatient department which includes radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment areas, an inpatient ward, an oncology hostel, a palliative care service and a haematology outpatient department. Conditions and hours of work are as stated in the Radiation Therapists National Collective Agreement. The successful applicant must be able to work 40 hours per week Mon-Fri, will be required to work a 10:00am – 18:30pm shift and to be available for “on call” and overtime if required. To be successful in this position you will hold a proven record of excellent delivery and planning of radiation therapy techniques and a demonstrated commitment towards excellence and quality in both technique and patient cares.
