If you need medical advice after hours, your GP’s number is the only one you need to know

Sometimes we get sick in the weekends or after our doctor’s office has closed for the day. While it’s a good idea to see your GP regularly to ensure we stay in good health, sometimes we can’t predict when we will get sick and need no fuss, no hassle medical advice then and there.

In many areas of the Waikato region, if you or someone you know falls ill after 5pm and needs medical help, you can simply call your medical centre.

This call is absolutely free.

Just call your medical centre and you will speak to a trained health professional who will give you health advice on the spot.

If you need to further face-to-face medical care, they will refer you to the safest and nearest place.

It’s that easy.

But remember, in an emergency, always call 111.
